The Computer Information Systems (CIS) program offers high-level education and training for future IT professionals. Taught in cutting-edge computer labs, the CIS curriculum gives students the opportunity for specialization.<br>UA is home to a simulation lab that allows students to simulate cyber threats. It is modeled after the United States Department of Energy's Idaho National Laboratory.<br>Students in networking courses are prepared to earn marketable industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional, and CompTIA.<br>Students learn through experience in our co-op and internship programs that get our students hired.<br>Career Opportunities<br>Graduates work as cybersecurity/security analysts, IT systems/network administrator, web developers, and database administrators. They work for companies such as Cisco Systems, Diebold Nixdorf, FirstEnergy Corp., Google, Hyland Software, Progressive Insurance Company, Cleveland Clinic and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
