The physical science major meets the needs of the teaching profession, with a flexible curriculum that includes teaching-related experiential learning opportunities. This major not only services students wishing to enter the teaching profession, but also can accommodate students who want high-quality training in physics and mathematics, or who are considering a career in health care, the legal profession or other science areas. Physics majors have the opportunity to support the instruction of our non-science major physics classes. Review leaders work with faculty, attend class and conduct weekly review sessions for students enrolled in the class. This is an excellent experiential opportunity for physics majors to expand their understanding of fundamental physics and be able to answer student's questions from a primarily conceptual level.
