The freshman Indiana State University application is for entering freshmen who are (or soon will be) high school graduates and have not attended another college after graduating from high school. High school students may apply to Indiana State University any time after completion of their junior year in high school.

English Language Requirements:

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum iBT score of 61; a minimum CBT score of 173; or a minimum paper-based score of 500
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum score of 6.0 (or higher)
ELS Language Training Program: successful completion of level 112 (or higher)

If you have a passion for understanding how things work and enjoy scientific experiments and mathematics, you will love Indiana State’s Physics Program. Physics seeks to increase human knowledge of matter and energy in the universe, from atomic nuclei to galaxy clusters, and to apply this knowledge in the development of new technologies. This program offers a unique sophomore course experience involving project-based learning in theoretical and experimental physics. You will build and program microcontroller circuits for real-world measurements, and gain a comprehensive theoretical toolkit for tackling complex physical scenarios.
