A College vehicle is available for use on assignment by students with a G-level driver's license and Driver Abstract (insurance provided).
International applicants must provide proof of academic standing equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) (Grade 12), along with transcripts from any post-secondary education (if applicable).
IELTS (International English Language Test Service) - 6.0 overall with one band at 5.5
TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - 80 (iBT internet-based test with minimums of 20)
TOEFL pBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - 550 (paper-based test)

This hands-on program blends performance, content creation, technical production, and business skills to prepare students for success in the radio and podcasting industry. Loyalist College has two radio stations including, Loyalist Hot Hits and CJLX 91X FM Alternative Radio. 91X is a CRTC (Canadian Radio, Television & Telecommunications Commission) licensed community campus stations serving the Bay of Quinte region (Listen Live). In addition to the professional training you will receive, youll gain effective speaking skills to improve your announcing delivery. Be it for local news, sports, traffic, weather, community events, current affairs or politics, youll cover it all while being fully immersed in multi-platform production. A career in radio can take you anywhere. Please note: Students will receive an Ontario College Diploma in Broadcasting Radio.
