Our BFA program focuses on the development of personal imagery while cultivating foundational skills. Along with the resources of a major research university, we offer an immersive art experience in a small studio environment, providing individual attention to promote student growth. Explore monoprinting, relief, silk-screen, computer-mediated images and alternative printing processes in our Printmaking program. Courses focus on the student's visual expression through their examination of formal issues, media exploration, relevant histories, contemporary critical discourse and diverse approaches to problem solving. The undergraduate Printmaking program pays particular attention to developing personal imagery, while providing a solid foundation in the techniques of lithography and intaglio. The Printmaking program is dedicated to preparing students for life as practicing, professional artists.<br><br>Our graduates go on to portfolio careers, private studios, artist residencies/internships and graduate school for the MFA in Printmaking. Undergraduate Printmaking students have been accepted to highly-respected graduate programs throughout the country, including the University of Delaware, Ohio University and Kent State. Printmaking alumni have found employment in a variety of occupations, ranging from university professors to exhibition designers and independent artists. Employers include Robert Morris University, Georgia College and the Smithsonian Institution.
