SQA Higher entry requirements
AAABB is the minimum requirement from S5 to be reviewed for an S6 offer
Offers are not guaranteed to applicants who meet the minimum from S5
Typically offers will be made at AAAAAA by end of S6. B at Advanced Higher is equivalent to A at Higher
Additional requirements: Higher Mathematics (AH recommended) and Computing (if Higher Mathematics A grade is not achieved in S5).

MD40: AABB (ABB S5 minimum for consideration)

AAA ABB
Additional requirements: A-level Mathematics.
IB standard entry requirements
38 (6,6,6)
Additional requirements: HL Mathematics (Analysis & Approaches).
Faster route entry requirements for Computing Science
SQA Higher faster route entry requirements
Advanced Highers AAA including Computing and Mathematics attained in one exam year and at the first attempt.
A-level faster route entry requirements
Three A-levels at Grades A*AA which include Computing and Mathematics attained in one exam year and at the first attempt.
IB faster route entry requirements
38 points with three Higher Level subjects at 6,6,6 including Computing Science and Mathematics.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic module (not General Training)
6.5 with no sub-test under 6.0.
TOEFL (ib, my best or athome)
90 with minimum R 20, L 19, S 19, W 23.

Computing science is wide-ranging: from programming and engineering large software systems, to the design and evaluation of human-computer interfaces, algorithms, computer and network systems, artificial intelligence, information retrieval and big data systems. The School of Computing Science launched the pioneering Centre for Computing Science Education in 2017, in recognition of our commitment to leadership and innovation in educational practice.<br>Our graduates in Computing Science are recognised by the British Computer Society (BCS), The Chartered Institute for IT, and meet the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional (CITP) . The School of Computing Science has been ranked first for overall student satisfaction in four of the last nine years in the National Student Survey. Courses are designed and taught by researchers who are leaders in their fields. The School of Computing Science launched the pioneering Centre for Computing Science Education in 2017, in recognition of our commitment to leadership and innovation in educational practice.<br>Our graduates are employed by worldwide names as well as local and international startup companies. MSci graduates are eligible for full CITP and partial CSci. Honours degrees hold the Euro-Inf Bachelor Quality label, MSci degrees hold the Euro-Inf Master Quality Label.
