The Department of Teacher Education offers the Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.E.) degree in the areas of elementary education, secondary education (English, mathematics, science, and social studies), and special education.<br><br>At the graduate level, the department offers the Master of Education (M.Ed.) in curriculum and instruction, secondary education, special education, and early childhood education, the Master of Arts (M.A.) in Teaching (Teacher Corps option), the Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in curriculum and instruction, the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in elementary education and secondary mathematics education, and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in secondary education and special education.<br><br>The M.A.T. in Teaching is a program designed for noneducation majors (those who hold bachelor's degrees in an area other than education) who wish to earn teacher licensure and a master's degree concurrently.
