Wichita State's Doctor of Education (EdD) in educational leadership gives practicing professionals in K-12, higher education and other educational organizations a way to further develop their leadership capacityand careers. This three-year, cohort-based program involves student-faculty research benefitting local educational institutions. Rather than the typical lecture classroom, seminars are held in a setting where faculty and students meet as equals. Fall and spring courses meet once a week, and summer courses are offered in a hybrid (in-person/online) format. The program requires 55 credit hours of coursework, comprehensive examinations and an oral dissertation examination.
