The Master of Science in Higher Education & Student Affairs (HESA) program at Baylor University distinctively balances career experience and academic rigor to prepare professionals who desire to have a meaningful, lasting influence on students' lives in higher education settings. HESA is the only master's program in higher education and student affairs from a Research 1 university that incorporates student development, administrative theory, and faith into the curriculum. HESA is a full-time, residential program completed in 22 months. It requires 42 hours of coursework, and during the last semester, the student can choose between a three-hour capstone course or a three-hour thesis. The HESA program offers- A national reputation with national resources Baylor meets all ACPA, NASPA and CAS standards, 20-hour per week apprenticeships that give students hands-on experience, Fully funded, plus a stipend for the apprenticeship, Integration of faith and learning into the curriculum, and A small program size (cohorts of approximately 15 students) that maximizes faculty-student mentorship.
