Have your high school transcript(s) sent electronically. Submitting documents electronically is strongly recommended but may also be mailed to Saint Louis University's Office of Admission.
Additional Application Items
Though not required for admission, the following items are strongly encouraged. Please note that all documents must be submitted electronically at this time.
Standardized Test Scores. ACT/SAT scores are not required as part of the admission process. You may choose to submit ACT/SAT scores if you wish. Learn more about SLU's test-optional policy. SLU does not accept superscores so please be sure to send your composite score and all subscores from each completed test. International students are still required to demonstrate English proficiency, which may require the submission of a standardized test score.
Secondary School Report Form. The Secondary School Report Form should be completed by your high school guidance counselor.
Professional R'sum. Please include your name, state and high school on your r'sum.
Letters of recommendation. Letters should be emailed from the recommender to admission@slu.edu, and must include your name, state and high school.
Admission Interview. An admission interview is an opportunity to speak one-on-one with your admission counselor about your specific interests and application.

The Bachelor of Arts in Education program at Saint Louis University aims to develop reflective individuals educated in the liberal tradition and committed to service, inquiry and value-centered learning. It also seeks to prepare students who want an education background and have leadership qualities including risk-taking, civic responsibility and ethical character. An education degree is a valuable asset for a number of careers related to education and schooling. The main objective of all of SLU's education programs is to prepare dedicated, reflective scholar-practitioners who exhibit the knowledge, skills and dispositions embedded in the conceptual framework of the school. As reflective scholar-practitioners, the shared values that guide the School of Education include social justice, cura personalis (care for the whole person), excellence, integrity and trust, and respect. Students are prepared to be reflective educators who can implement educational programs consistent with their areas of expertise. A degree in education offers a wide range of career opportunities. While most graduates pursue a career in teaching, some choose to continue their studies in a graduate program before entering the workforce.
