The graduate application process is competitive. At the point of applying to the M.Ed. program, applicants must have already accumulated the equivalent of two years of full-time, paid, relevant experience following completion of their four-year undergraduate degree (or following the B.Ed. completion in the case for INCL EDUC and Curriculum Studies applicants). The two full-time equivalent (FTE) years may be accumulated over a period longer than two years. Relevant work experience for those applying to the School Counselling stream includes teaching and/or other related work. Relevant work experience for those applying to the Agency stream is 'helping-focused' employment in social services areas (that calls for strong interpersonal and communication skills). Relevant volunteer work in addition to the two FTE years will be considered an asset. Please note that study cannot be counted as related experience.
One (1) original, official transcript from EACH post-secondary institution attended is required for ALL applicants
Two (2) reference letters are required. Specifically one academic and one professional letter is required
Acadia's minimum graduate studies requirements are as follows: IELTS (Academic ONLY!) - 6.5 overall with no subtest score below 6.0. TOEFL - 93 IBT with no subtest score below 20. Paper -based score is 580. PTE Academic - 61 with no subtest score below 60.

Acadia University's Master of Education in Inclusive Education program will prepare you for a leadership role in inclusive education. Our Inclusive Education program is designed for educators who already possess some background in inclusive schooling and seek to advance into leadership positions. In our program, courses are sequenced to provide a balanced approach, and you'll be encouraged to follow and develop your interests. You'll learn and share experiences with colleagues in dynamic courses that will offer you both theoretical grounding and practical application.
