Adults returning to school after an extended time: obtain a letter of recommendation from an employer or professional in the community.
Home-schooled applicants only:
Submit an academic portfolio consisting of graded work. Specific requirements include an English essay, science project/lab/report, and a social sciences research or analytical paper.
Accepted tests and minimum required scores are: Duolingo (100), TOEFL (61), IELTS (5.5)

Rivier's B.A. in Early Childhood Education program provides you with firsthand experience in top-notch education facilities and the teaching skills necessary to be confident in front of a classroom. Through observations and student teaching, you will learn to connect theory with practice and be prepared to play a valuable role in the lives of early learners. Prepare to be a leader in the classroom and create meaningful learning experiences. A B.A. in Early Childhood Education will help you become a certified pre-kindergarten and elementary teacher. As an Early Childhood Education major, you will be required to gain a specialization through a minor in another discipline and complete the New Hampshire State Department of Education Professional Standards for Teachers, both of which are required for certification.
