The M.S. is a research-oriented degree which culminates in conducting a master's thesis, guided by a committee of three faculty from the program or related fields. This is a 30-credit-hour program, including six credits of thesis research. The CA&I program in Secondary Education is designed for practicing teachers and/or those with existing teaching licenses, who want to assume more responsibility and larger leadership roles while continuing a career in the classroom. These programs are designed to help teachers enhance the learning and development of students while addressing state and federal standards in the areas of curriculum, assessment and instruction. We offer master's degrees (MEd and MS), which can be completed either on campus or through graduate outreach. We also offer a Educational Specialist (EdS) degree, which provides a cohesive program of professional development beyond the master's level for educational specialists. The MS degree requires a minimum of 30 credits, is designed for teachers who are considering continuing graduate education after earning their master's, and it is only offered on campus.
