The Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education program is a traditional on-campus teacher education program. This program prepares you to earn teacher certification in multi-subjects, grades K-6, upon graduation, along with a bachelor's degree. We train you to be an outstanding elementary educator and require four semesters of work in schools before your final, student teaching semester. Our program provides 600 Plus hours of classroom experience before you graduate. You'll gain a wealth of experience in the local school systems with experienced educators as mentors. Most students become elementary education teachers in West Virginia or one of the surrounding states. Many also pursue graduate study in Elementary Education, Counseling, Literacy Education, Special Education, Educational Psychology and other areas.
