课程简介
The Department of Education Studies has extensive offerings for graduate study in the field of education. All programs are cohort-based and grounded in our overall commitment to equitable and excellent education for all students. Our graduate programs prepare teacher innovators and education leaders who contribute to knowledge, improve practice and shape the future of education in the region. Education Studies (EDS) at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) offers several programs for those interested in beginning careers in education or in furthering their study in the field of education. Education Studies at UC San Diego supports the goal of equity and educational excellence for all K-12 students in our public schools. This goal is actualized through the academic and field components of our programs. In our masters programs, students learn research-based teaching practices and engage in extensive reflection and writing on their classroom practice. Students are asked to examine their teaching performance in relationship to the diverse social, cultural, economic, and political context of California public schools. EDS classroom placements reflect our commitment to prepare our graduates to become highly successful teachers in under-performing schools situated within linguistically and culturally diverse communities.
