Your statement should be 1 page and describe your objectives in this program as well as how the program relates to your discipline or career.
Applicants must submit official transcripts for all undergraduate and any graduate work. To be eligible for admission, your transcript must show an earned bachelor's degree or a bachelor's degree in progress. Certified copies of transcripts are acceptable, faxed copies of transcripts are not considered official. If you attended Loyola University Chicago previously, you do not need to request transcripts, we have them on record. Copies of transcripts or transcripts not received in a sealed envelope from the university are considered unofficial. If you attended Loyola University Chicago previously, you do not need to request transcripts. We strongly encourage electronic submission of documents. Official transcripts should show a GPA of 3.0 or higher. In exceptional cases, applicants whose undergraduate GPA is below 3.0 may be admitted.
For the TOEFL, a minimum score of 79 on the iBT
For the IELTS, a minimum score of 6.0 is required.

Learn to apply advanced measurement and quantitative techniques in a range of research settings through the Measurement and Quantitative Methodology Certificate program at Loyola University Chicago. You will strengthen your skills in psychometrics, quantitative methods, and research methodology. This program accommodates students with varying levels of quantitative background, so you can join the program at the level that is appropriate for you. You will learn from Loyola University Chicago School of Education faculty in research methodology who are experts in their field. They will be there to support you throughout the program. The Measurement and Quantitative Methodology Certificate will help you build on basic courses in quantitative techniques so you can enhance your skills and highlight your expertise in research methodology when applying for jobs. This program offers a curriculum for training students to have expertise in applying measurement and quantitative techniques in a research setting. Students will be able to choose an emphasis of measurement or quantitative methods and will receive a certificate upon completion of the requirements to validate their skills and efforts. This graduate-level program will prepare students for a variety of career opportunities that require training in measurement and/or quantitative techniques. This program accommodates students with varying levels of quantitative background, thus allowing them to join the program at the level that is appropriate for them. It is particularly beneficial for current students at Loyola who have taken basic quantitative courses and want to enhance their skills and highlight their expertise in contributing to methodological aspects of research when applying for jobs.
