OPTION 1: ADMISSION BASED ON GRADES FROM HIGH SCHOOL
For this option, the SAT or ACT is NOT required for admission.
This option is for students who have already graduated from high school (or will soon graduate from high school).
Students who have attended another college or university will be considered for transfer admission -- even if they do not want transfer credit from their previous school.
Students who have completed AP, IB, or Cambridge A or AS level curriculum are eligible to receive transfer credit.
Students must submit final high school transcripts.
You must submit your official final high school transcript as soon as it is available. If you do not submit your final official transcript to us by the end of your first semester at Wichita State University,
you will not be allowed to enroll for subsequent terms.

Wichita State's Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAED)history, government and social studies (secondary)focuses on the academic disciplines of history, politics, culture and effective teaching. Graduates are well prepared for careers as certified teachers in grades 6-12. The program combines classroom learning and real-world teaching experience in Kansas' largest school district. At Wichita State, applied learning is everything. In fact, every degree we offer has a guaranteed applied learning or research experience built right into it equipping you with the relevant skills and experience to make you workforce ready before graduation. The four-year history, government and social studies program starts with two years of general education followed by two years of teacher education. The curriculum was developed in collaboration by university faculty and P-12 practitioners and includes teaching internships. A bachelor's degree from Wichita State's College of Applied Studies will give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to make a positive impact in the classroomand prepares you to pursue an advanced education degree.
