The Adolescence Education in Biology degree prepares students to teach Biology to middle and high school students, and leads to New York State certification in grades 7-12. Fredonia's coursework will also help you advance towards dual certification, a coveted component on a professional resume. Fredonia's program is nationally recognized by the National Science Teaching Association, with an emphasis on giving our students practical classroom experiences as first-year students. Fredonia's Education programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). You will build your teaching knowledge, skills, and confidence throughout the program, and become a student teacher in middle and high school placements the final semester.
