A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent, with a minimum grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale. If your average is below 3.00, you will be considered for conditional admission if sufficient evidence indicates that you can perform well in a graduate program.

 Your writing sample may be either an academic paper or an expository essay. It
should be about 7-10 pages long, citations added as needed, 12-pt. font (Times Roman or
Arial), double-spaced, pages numbered, your name and title of paper on the first page,
above the start of your text.
GTA Application Instructions:
Prepare all three parts of your GTA application as one document, to appear in this order:
1. The Background Experience form-this is a fillable form to complete and save to your computer until ready to upload entire GTA application.
2. Your Statement of Teaching Interest-opportunity to express your interest in composition
pedagogy and practice, to discuss your teaching-related training and/or experience.
3. Your Statement on Learning & Writing-a short 500-700 word essay focusing on your response to one of the given topics on the application.

Online, provide the e-address of each recommender who has agreed to write a letter.
Your recommenders will be e-mailed instructions to upload their letters.

Minimum TOEFL score for admission without condition is 550 (paper based), or 80 (internet based).
Minimum IELTS score for admission without condition is 6.5.
