THREE LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE : This statement should be 300-500 words.
Transcripts and/or diplomas are to be submitted both in the original language and translated from every postsecondary school you have attended, whether or not you have obtained a degree.
Graduate Record Examination scores should be sent to the department by ETS using the Institution code 1324 and Department code 2603. The College Graduate Office requires a minimum score of 151 of the verbal reasoning, a 153 on the quantitative reasoning, and a 4 on the analytical writing. Exceptions can be made in cases of particular merit. (Optional, please take the exam if possible)

Our graduate program offers a vibrant environment for the study of French as a native and second language (L2), French as a minority language (Louisiana French), and also minority languages in France (Picard, Breton, Occitan). French-specific training in syntax, semantics, morphology, and phonology provides a unique foundation in the nature of grammar and in its interactions with other systems of cognition.
