Students who wish to pursue P-12 teacher certification in Spanish must apply to and be admitted to the Teacher Education Program Spanish and Latino Studies at Montclair State University, an exciting intellectual, personal and professional adventure that offers multiple possibilities for future careers and cultural enrichment. Our many major, minor and graduate Spanish programs as well as our minors in Latin American and Latino Studies and Portuguese Studies pride themselves on offering students multiple courses of study, careful mentoring by devoted faculty, enriching cultural activities, travel opportunities, and a nationally recognized chapter of the Hispanic Honor Society.
