Students graduating from this program will:<br> Identify, describe, and recognize general knowledge of the world’s civilizations and peoples as well as their political, economic, social, and cultural histories.<br> Illustrate and explain particular historic stories in relation to general histories of the topic; summarize and interpret past events in order to appraise, evaluate, and consider them in relation to existing historical scholarship.<br> Identify primary andor secondary sources in order to analyze, distinguish, and classify relevant ideas and evidence for the development of original scholarly inquiry.<br>Organize and prepare primary and secondary sources as evidence to originate an argument, hypothesize an outcome, or interpret ideas and evidence for a research topic that makes an original contribution to scholarly debates.<br>Compose and write prose that is clear, well-organized, and grammatically correct.<br>Appraise alternative scholarly works and interrelate those works to their research in new holistic interpretations that interrelate interdisciplinary studies offer new avenues for research.
