Honours bachelor's degree in History or equivalent
Successful candidates will be required to submit official academic transcripts for each postsecondary institution university college you have attended including exchange transfer and incomplete credit programs. The official transcripts must be sent directly to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research from the host institution in a sealed university college envelope bearing an original university seal or stamp or emailed directly.
Notarized copies of transcripts will not be accepted.

minimum iBT 80 with no band below 20.
International English Language Testing System IELTS minimum 6.5 with no individual score below 6.0.
Cambridge B2 First C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency - minimum 176 with no individual score below 169.

The Saint Mary's History Department has particular strengths in Atlantic Canada and Quebec, East Asia, the Americas, Britain and Europe from the16th through to the 20th century. Research Areas Public, Community and Applied History Migration and Settlement History History of Culture and Memory The Benefits of Studying Graduate History at Saint Mary's The one-year MA Program in History is small and collegial, and is offered to both full and part time students. Enrollments are limited, allowing faculty members to devote time and energy to fostering the research skills of each masters student. Generous fellowships are available. Opportunities also exist for working as teaching assistants.
