In order to register with the University and undertake this programme, applicants must:
Be health/social care practitioner in possession of a degree/diploma in a health/social care.
Submit an employer's reference to evidence this.
A personal statement will need to be submitted with your application. The personal statement on your application form will be considered when a decision is made on your suitability for the programme for which you have applied.
You must address the following points in your personal statement, this list is not exhaustive:
Why have you selected this programme?
What interests you about this programme?
Any relevant experience related to the programme or module content.
How you plan to use the qualification in your career.
How you and your profession will benefit from your studies.
Why you feel you should be given a place on the programme.
Application deadline: End of July of each academic year. Your application may be considered after this, but it may be for a later intake.
Students whose first language is not English will be required to pass an IELTS test (or recognised equivalent).
Requirement is IELTS overall 6.5 and no less than 5.5 in any subsection. Please see our English Language Requirements guidance for more details.
TOEFL (iBT) - At least 90 with minimum scores of 17 for writing, 17 for listening, 18 for reading and 20 for speaking
International Baccalaureate (Language A) - HL 5 or SL 5

Our programme aims to empower you to be a reflective practitioner through self-appraising past and future teaching styles. We aim to increase your ability to be aware of the types of assessment and evaluation strategies used in education and practice areas.<br><br>This course offers an opportunity to study core module interprofessional modules inclusive of research methods and facilitating teaching and learning. You will develop the knowledge required to approach your practice innovatively, apply research and evidence to shape current and future practice.<br><br>You will have the opportunity to plan teaching sessions and strategies, implement educational assessment and evaluation strategies and lead practice and curriculum development activities. The aim of the programme is to equip you with the knowledge and skills to integrate theory and practice that enable you to teach other professionals and service users who remain at the heart of the health and social system.<br><br>Your learning will be supported by experienced researchers and academics who are experts in their field. You will be designated a personal tutor who will support you throughout your studies. In addition, you will be learning alongside a diverse group who are studying at various points in their career, sharing knowledge and gaining understanding of practice across the sector.
