The Doctor of Professional Studies (DProfSt) is a doctoral course of supervised research and research tasks designed for professional practitioners/educators, comprising structured research tasks, proposal development, and thesis component. ‘The Doctor of Professional Studies is a research integrated, professional practice degree. It provides candidates with a course of supervised research and study that focuses on creativity, innovation and enterprise to generate and apply new knowledge and skills in a range of professions and occupations. You will already have a solid education background but now find yourself dealing with more complex issues and demands. The Doctor of Professional Studies acknowledges your professional experience and leverages them to produce four research tasks followed by execution of a research project and preparation of a research thesis. which makes a significant original contribution to knowledge. The course is governed by the Research Higher Degree Course Rules, which provides details regarding all aspects of admission, progression, submission and examination of the thesis.
