A one-year postgraduate degree
A bachelors degree and a one-year professional qualification or three years professional experience relevant to the area that you would like to study.
You will need a GPE of at least 3.0 and for some specialisations a higher GPE will be required.

Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) - Overall score of 90 and a written score of 21
Paper-based TOEFL - Overall score of 575 and an Essay (TWE) of 4.5

The MProfStuds is a masters degree with a professional focus. It can be a useful way to continue your postgraduate study if you already have a masters degree. You can complete a Master of Professional Studies in Teaching Chinese in Schools in areas such as: Teaching Chinese as a foreign language: an overview of theories and research in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and its practice worldwide, Chinese pedagogical grammar: reviewing grammatical and pronunciation difficulties common to English-speaking students learning spoken Mandarin and strategies to correct them, Researching practice in the second language classroom: independent investigation into solving a problem of practice, Study into enhancing reading recovery's effectiveness and The inquiry method into investigating improvement in teaching.
