JCU Education is a leader in transformative adult learning. Internationally recognised experts provide students with the skills and knowledge to advocate for change, drive innovation, and facilitate effective leadership in learning communities.JCU students complete core subjects to build on undergraduate knowledge and prepare to specialise in their chosen areas. Students can complete the Master of Education either by coursework with a single or double major, or a combination of coursework with a single major and minor thesis.This 1.5 year full-time (or part-time equivalent) innovative master's degree explores an array of processes, theories and practices across the broad areas of globalisation, leadership, and sustainability. Students gain knowledge and skills to apply their expertise across a range of contexts.Students learn from an advanced curriculum based on well-developed principles and practices, and work with JCU's internationally-recognised experts.Demonstrate advanced knowledge of recent developments, discourses and debates in the field, or a sub-field, of Education and/or area of professional practice.Investigate, analyse, synthesise and evaluate complex information, problems, concepts and theories, at an advanced level, and critically reflect on theory in relation to different bodies of knowledge or practice.Students develop advanced knowledge and deep understanding of globalisation and culturally responsive educational practice applicable in today's interconnected world. The Global Contexts major provides graduates the ability to critically analyse and evaluate transformative education at the local, national and international level.Graduates develop advanced knowledge of research principles, processes and practices applicable to global educational practices, processes and global citizenship.
