Physical activity, health and wellbeing are such important pillars in a young person’s growth. With this specialisation, you’ll play a key role in developing these skills at formative times in their education journey.You’ll be able to teach children and adolescents aged five to 18 years, in both primary and secondary schools and will be equipped to teach as: A generalist primary school teacher<br>A specialist health and physical education primary school teacher<br>A secondary school teacher with health and physical education as your two specialist teaching areas.<br>You'll develop a diverse range of knowledge and skills as you build your understanding of health and physical education, and education as a discipline. In your health and physical education discipline studies, you’ll learn about the biophysical and behavioural foundations of health and physical education – and how to bring out the best health and wellbeing in your students and communities.<br>By looking at how people develop movement skills, you’ll build advanced laboratory and field-based skills in sport and exercise science, and be equipped to coach across games, challenges and sports.<br>Your career options<br>With this dual-sector qualification, you’ll meet the need for high quality, leading health educators, and have a range of career options in primary and secondary school settings.
