Designed to inform both educators in the classroom and individuals working in a special education context outside of the classroom of the specialized skills and content knowledge needed to support the needs of individuals with disabilities.The MEd provides skills and knowledge for working in the field of special education. The flexibility of the program allows students to pair the MEd with a graduate certificate in order to focus their studies on a specific area, or students can individualize their program content by selecting electives based on their interests or career focus.This master's degree is designed to prepare both educators for the classroom and individuals working in a special education context outside of the classroom with the specialized skills and content knowledge needed to support the needs of individuals with disabilities. Students may focus their program on a specific area in the field by completing a licensure or non-licensure certificate program in conjunction with the MEd and using certificate coursework to fulfill the elective credits for the MEd degree program.
