Have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and have attained a minimum of 3.0 GPA. If you are applying for a C.A.G.S., you must have a Master's Degree already.
Submit a completed Application for Graduate Admission.
Contact your undergraduate institution to submit your official transcript(s), in sealed envelope(s), of all undergraduate work (if credits were transferred, we will also need the official transcript from those institutions).

The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (C.A.G.S.) is a post-master's level certificate that allows a graduate student to pursue an area of concentration within our Graduate Education Program. It is comprised of 30 graduate credits beyond the Master's degree, nine of which may be transferred from another institution if they are post-master's credits. You may be a licensed special educator with a Master's who wants to further your education through the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies program. You could also use this program to obtain an initial license or additional endorsement as a special educator if you already have a Master's degree. Please see more information in our Graduate Catalog, under Licensure: Special Educator.<br>Graduate students in our CAGS Program in Special Education acquire the broad and varied knowledge that is critical for working with individuals with special needs. Students learn to build and maintain collaborative relationships with families, students, colleagues, and leaders – relationships that are critical to becoming effective special educators.
