Significant teaching experience in an ESL / EFL classroom or tutoring experience - paid or volunteer
Pre-requisites for TESOL graduate courses: This could be a TESOL / TESL Certificate that includes courses in TESOL Methodology, Phonetics, Language & Culture, and Grammar, or undergraduate courses in Linguistics or Education.
IELTS score of 7.5 on all bands, an iBT score of 105, or a DuoLingo score of 125 – or demonstrated equivalent, which may involve English language teaching experience or satisfactory completion of the Pre-Masters program on the TWU campus

TWU MATESOL alumni contribute to the world of TESOL as teachers, materials developers, teacher-trainers, and administrators in English programs for both adults and youth in a variety of international and local contexts. <br>Students have a choice between an intensive 16-20 month resident track and a 2-3 year online track that may be completed while working as a teacher. The majority of the students are required to do an internship in their final semester.
