Undergraduate GPA: at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale Undergraduate Coursework: Undergraduate coursework in psychology Letters of Recommendation: three letters of recommendation from faculty members or other persons who have adequate knowledge of the applicant's professional qualities or potential for success as a graduate student GRE: On the verbal portion, a score of at least 146 (new format) or 400 (old format); on the writing portion, a score of at least 140 (new format) or 400 (old format) as well as at least a 4.0 score on the analytical writing portion. Students who have successfully completed Tennessee Tech's Fast Track program and meet all other requirements for admission to graduate school may be exempted from taking the GRE. 课程简介

A master's degree in Counseling and Psychology, with a concentration in School Counseling, allows graduates to professionally help children at the elementary and secondary level. The counseling and consultation skills gained allow students to assist diverse individuals and groups deal with a wide range of personal, social, and academic issues, including choice-making. Licensure as a school counselor requires an additional step after earning a master's degree, including successful completion of the guidance section of the Praxis examination. It is possible to earn this master's degree and not be eligible for licensure, and some candidates, such as school counselors, may have additional requirements.
