Applicants must have completed:
At least one undergraduate level course (3 credits) in theories of counselling, theories of personality or theories of psychopathology.
At least one undergraduate level course (3 credits) in counselling/guidance practices, counselling interviewing skills, alliance formation skills, or social work practice skills.
At least one undergraduate level course (3 credits) in human development, child or adult development, or developmental psychology.
Applicants are expected to hold a four-year undergraduate degree with a grade point average of at least 3.0 (B, or its equivalent) and must have a minimum of one year's experience in some aspect of human services.
International applicants whose first language is not English must submit language scores that meet or exceed:
International English language testing system (IELTS) = band 7 in all categories
Paper-based TOEFL = 650
Computer-based TOEFL = 280
TWE = 5.5

UNB’s education graduate program provides students with the knowledge and experiences to make a difference while advancing their careers and educational interests. Students enjoy our small class sizes while benefitting from personal attention from top-quality instructors engaged in a wide range of research. <br><br>Our flexible programs are designed to suit the needs of both full-time students and working professionals, with evening, online and summer courses that are designed to allow learners to fulfil their own needs, interests, and aspirations. Students can choose to study full- or part-time.<br><br>Duration: A course-based degree consists of 10 courses; a projectreport-based degree consists of eight courses plus a report; and a thesis-based degree consists of five courses plus a thesis. MEd students must complete the degree within five years of their first registration, and PhD students must complete the degree within seven years of their first registration.<br>Entry Terms: Fall, Winter, Summer
