You will need the full IB (three standard [SL] and three higher level [HL] subjects), with a minimum of 28 points (please note that some programs are more competitive and will require higher scores).You may have one subject with a grade of 3, provided it is offset by a grade of 5 or better. Prerequisite subjects must have a grade of 4 or better.IB students may be awarded advanced standing (transfer) credit for HL subjects with a grade of 5 or better subject to the discretion of the appropriate faculty, to a maximum of 3.0 credits.If you are currently completing the IB in a Canadian high school, please refer to the admission requirements and application deadlines for your province.

In the Bachelor of Humanities, students read the world’s most influential books, and explore the world’s most exciting ideas in literature, philosophy, history, art, music, political theory, and religion. Humanities students study everything from Plato to Gandhi, from Medieval architecture to the Tao Te Ching, from Italian Opera to contemporary film. The Humanities allow human beings to ask fundamental questions about themselves and the world around them, to define their values and recognise ethical truths, and to express their thoughts and create new works of imagination. The Bachelor of Humanities with a Combined Honours or a Minor allows students to complete a degree in a specialized subject such as English or History in addition to their Humanities Great Books degree. Students are free to combine Humanities with any other discipline at Carleton that offers a Combined Honours or a Minor.
