Prospective first-year students must:
• Have a 3.00 recalculated grade point average (GPA) (a B or better where A=4.00) from a secondary school. Please note: GPA recalculation occurs during the admissions evaluation process and is based on grades from courses outlined in our competency requirements below.
• Have three years of high school work. Please note: If you are currently in high school, UA needs to see 9–11 grade work. If you have completed high school then UA needs to see 10–12 grade work.
• Have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
• Official high school transcript(s)
TOEFL iBT – 70 , IELTS - 6.0

Discover how the world's nations are economically, politically, socially and culturally interdependent with a degree that offers a global perspective to historical and contemporary issues. Students in the Bachelor of General Studies with a Global and Intercultural Understanding emphasis look at the interplay of customs, cultures, mores, practices, contributions and struggles of peoples around the globe. Through ethnographic accounts, students learn about ways of life across the world and gain the academic preparation needed to succeed in an increasingly global workforce. The program requires that students take at least one course outside of their own ethnic or cultural framework that focuses on a culture, society or language of a nation or region outside of the United States, Canada or Europe. Multidisciplinarity, Effectively analyze and synthesize the relationship between multiple disciplines of study. Cultural Competence, Identify and recognize cultural differences and the impact of an educated citizen and responsible member in global society. Effective Communication, Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate ideas using a variety of different media (oral, written, visual) and basic information technologies. Focus Theme Outcomes, Demonstrate success meeting a corresponding learning outcome with the students' selected focus theme. Career Preparation, Develop and identify the academic preparation, opportunities, and potential contributions to careers in their major field.
