Personal Statement: The written statement of objectives is an important part of your application materials and also functions as a writing sample for the admission committee's evaluation. The statement should be two to three pages long and consists of two parts: describe in detail your reasons for applying to the MALS program, and let us know how your life experiences have led you to pursue this degree. Three References: Your references should include any faculty members from whom you have taken courses with in recent years. Resume: Please use the Upload area for Resume/ CV in the online application. Transcripts: Unofficial transcripts from all undergraduate or graduate institutions you have attended should be uploaded with your application. If the department recommends that you be admitted, you will then be asked to submit official transcripts to the Graduate School. Only upon receipt of official transcripts will your admission be official. IELTS Academic-6.5 or higher (minimum of 6.5 in each sub score), Provide Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a total score of at least 80 on the Internet-based Test (iBT), and with minimum test scores for each section of: Listening 18 points, Reading 18 points, Writing 18 points, Speaking 18 points – for admission , Toefl paper-based test requires a score of 550 or higher (with scores of 50 on at least two of the three sections and no section score below 45). To be considered for admission in full graduate standing, applicants must have: a four-year bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from a regionally accredited college or university. Exceptions to standard accreditation may be granted for applicants with international degrees, including applicants with three-year degrees from institutions in Europe participating in the Bologna Process. a GPA of at least 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) in their undergraduate degrees.
