国际学生入学条件
To meet our minimum requirements for admission to any of our undergraduate programs, you need to have graduated from grade 12 secondary school, have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.5 (C+ or 67%), and have completed 5 grade 12 subjects from the selection of BC Ministry approved courses below (or their equivalents if you completed school internationally or in a province other than British Columbia):
English Studies 12 with a minimum grade of 'C'
Accepted Language Arts subjects
Two other grade 12 academic courses
Mathematics courses
Science
Social Studies
Languages
Two grade 12 elective courses
All elective courses must be grade 12 and can be Ministry Approved, Board Approved or locally developed.
Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies
Arts Education
International Baccalaureate (IB)
3 Higher Level and 3 Standard Level subjects. A minimum requirement of 24 points is recommended to be considered for admission.
Other international applicants
Completion of the highest level of secondary education available in your home country, in a program leading directly to university entrance. You require at least a C+ (67) average in the five courses that most closely match the British Columbia requirements.
Accepted English Language Proficiency Tests
TOEFL - Minimum of 84 out of 120 total points including a minimum score in each of the four skills, Speaking 20/30, Reading 20/30, Writing 18/30, and Listening 20/30.
IELTS - Minimum band 6.5, with no component less than 6.0

For visual artists who want to focus on painting, the Painting program will immerse you in a studio culture to nurture your individual practice. Youll learn from world-renowned practicing artists among a diverse community of creative peers. Together, you'll engage in rigorous dialogue, and learn about traditional and contemporary approaches to painting as a discipline.<br><br>As you gain a richer understanding of your practice through in-depth studies, youll produce a significant body of work that reflects your unique approach as an artist. Painting can take many forms and approaches. In the Painting program, you'll have the opportunity to experiment across a full range of materials and styles. From acrylics to mixed media, analogue to digital, students are given an unparalleled chance to explore their interests and discover their own artistic practice.<br><br>Your education will focus on the studio. Beginning with the foundations, you'll start by focusing on colour, form, and paint handling before moving into advanced classes where you'll develop your individualized painting practice. Along the way, youll receive support and personal instruction from accomplished professional artists.<br><br>Alongside painting techniques, you'll learn critical theory and history. While most of your time will be spent in the studio, you'll also engage in collaborative work, theoretical research, and group critiques. Expect to delve into a network of artistic peers one where you can exchange ideas, share findings, and help each other grow as both artists and citizens.
