课程简介
You want a balance between engineering know-how, business prowess, and people skills in order to build projects from the ground up.Construction Managers use engineering and business principles to oversee the entire construction process. This includes estimating/budgeting, contract law, construction methods and materials, scheduling, safety, and effective communication. Industry emphasis areas include industrial, highway, commercial, residential, and general construction. Graduates are easily employed in this booming industry and can either work their way up within a construction company or start their own construction management business.

The management of construction has seen dramatic changes and growth in the last few decades and has resulted in increased risk, responsibilities and obligation for the Constructor. The Bachelor of Science in Construction Management (campus and online) degree program has a curriculum designed to blend engineering, architecture, design, technology, and business to produce a professional who can manage construction processes effectively and efficiently. CM graduates have industry accepted skills and acquire the much needed knowledge necessary to execute the responsibilities and obligations required for their profession. Graduates taking the Certified Professional Constructor process receive formal recognition of the education and experience that defines the Constructor as a professional.

The construction management curriculum is designed to have a core/fundamental knowledge base common to most applications of construction management. While being in compliance to accreditation standards as prescribed by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), this knowledge base can be expanded upon through a set of specialization courses. Designed by industry and faculty, these specialization areas provide specific skill sets in the various construction types.
