课程简介
The Geofutures Master of Science in Architecture is a graduate degree offered by the Rensselaer School of Architecture. The program is intended for students who already hold a professional undergraduate degree in architecture (B.Arch or equivalent), or a graduate degree in architecture (M.Arch). Geofutures is a one-year graduate advanced design degree, it is not a multi-year M.Arch degree. The program is also open to students interested in graduate study who hold an undergraduate non-professional degree in a related field of study in the arts, sciences, or humanities. The Geofutures is a STEM designated degree program.

Our focus of study is on the future of cities in the age of climate change. With New York City as our laboratory, Geofutures undertakes projects that design solutions for the many challenges faced by an urban metropolis. In addition to climate change, projects examine issues of transportation, housing, inequality, and more. Solutions are design focused. Ranging from the scale of a product to an entire neighborhood, students produce ambitious proposals for the future of New York.
