Affordable and clean energy is key to meeting the challenges of climate change and sustainable development. On this MSc you'll gain an understanding of technologies for energy production, and the knowledge and vision required to deliver a sustainable future. This programme will open up real-world career opportunities across the sector.<br>This course will teach you a wide range of industrial, commercial and research aspects of the energy sector. Students on this programme come from a range of backgrounds including engineering, environmental studies, finance, economics and law, as well as professionals already working in the sector.<br>You will learn through a series of lectures, coursework assignments and exams, and through writing a dissertation. The course is organised so that each module is taught in a block of four consecutive days followed by tutorial support, guided private study, coordinated activities, and coursework. Block teaching focuses on one module at a time, it is a pedagogical approach emphasising an intensive learning process. This approach allows students to fully immerse themselves in the subject matter before moving on to another module.<br>The skills and knowledge youll develop on this course will make you employable in a range of positions where effective energy supply and demand-side management has become an important consideration. You will graduate with economic and market-based skills relevant to complying with industry legislation, and technical and engineering skills, related to power generation and energy management.
