课程简介
This programme is suitable for you if you wish to make a sustainable, positive impact on the environment, to respond to growing concerns about the quality of our food and the environmental cost of its production, to be active and outdoors, caring for landscapes, parks or golf courses, or if you're artistic and creative and interested in landscape design, or in the natural environment and its wellbeing potential. You'll gain a thorough knowledge of horticulture science, encompassing life sciences, the chemical and physical sciences, and the mathematical and statistical techniques involved in designing experiments and data analytics. Our hands-on teaching approach will give you opportunities to develop skills through real-life practical projects, often engaging with local community groups to design and build gardens to a brief and within a set budget. Thanks to a compulsory 12-week work placement in 2nd year, Semester 2, you'll be able to practise the skills you've learned and gain valuable experience to ready you for employment. In Year 4, you'll be able to specialise in areas that interest you most. Work Placement: Thanks to a compulsory 12 week work placement in second year, semester 2, you'll be able to practice the skills you learned and gain valuable experience to ready you for employment. Postgraduate Study: On graduation, you may continue to further study at TU Dublin or elsewhere.
