The M.A. program in geography prepares graduates with the skills and experience to excel in public service, research, business or academia. You will better understand and be able to shape policies needed to make positive change in the world, through the critical examination of the spatial dynamics of social and environmental processes.<br>Maxwell takes graduate student mentoring seriously in both scholarship and teaching. Our faculty members work closely with graduate students at each step of our program, from individualized coursework to research design and fieldwork to the presentation and publication of results. We also prioritize classroom teaching experience for graduate students, particularly through their work with faculty as teaching assistants.
