地理科学硕士

Apply for admission if you possess a bachelor's degree with a major or minor in geography or a related major such as social science, biological, engineering, health, business or physical science. To apply for the MS in Geography program, you are not required to take the GRE.

WMU has a two-step admission process for prospective graduate students. You must first be admitted by the University, and second by the Department--you only need to submit one application. The application requirements include:

A completed application form (including a resume/curriculum vitae, written statement, and contact information for letters of recommendation),
An official transcript from the institution from which you earned a Bachelors degree,
Transcripts from those institutions where any graduate-level courses or degrees have been taken or completed (if applicable), and
A TOEFL test score for international students unless their home country meets the English language proficiency requirements (if applicable).

This program requires three recommendations Please send email requests for such recommendations from within the online system

Summarize your experiences in academic professional research creative or scholarly activities and indicate how these experiences make you an ideal candidate for graduate study in your selected program Also address how these activities align with the strengths of your chosen program and faculty and with your professional goals including future job positions This statement doublespaced and between 500 1500 words should demonstrate your communication skills and writing competence

An official transcript from the institution from which you received your bachelor degree is required as well as a transcript from the institutions where any additional graduate level courses or degrees have been taken completed Applicants are not required to submit an official transcript of courses taken completed at WMU

An overall grade point average of at least 3.0 in the last two years of undergraduate work.
Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL 80 iBT graduate.
TOEFL Essential 8 Graduate.
International English Language Testing System IELTS Academic - 6.5 graduate.
Pearson Test of English Academic Module PTE - 54 graduate.
