Complete a background at least to the level of a B.S. concentration in geology, geophysics or earth science.
Applicants may be admitted to a graduate program if they have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with at least a 3.0 (B) cumulative undergraduate GPA and a 3.0 (B) GPA in their major. The Office of Admissions requires official transcripts of all college-level course work. To be considered official, transcripts must arrive in sealed envelopes from each institution attended. You may also submit your transcripts electronically through a secure transcript service. Emailed/faxed transcripts will not be considered official. Final and official transcripts are required from every institution attended. IELTS score of 6.5, TOEFL IBT score of 79.

There are concentrations available in geology and geography and requirements are flexible enough to allow students to customize the curriculum. There are about 40 professional geoscientists in residence on campus and graduate students normally participate in the ongoing research of these professionals. Teaching and research assistantships are available to graduate students in many of these areas.
