This qualification provides the technical knowledge and practical skills to work as a veterinary nursing assistant needed to assist veterinarians and veterinary nurses in a companion animal practice. The programme uses a paper based approach to allow for an efficient integrated approach to learning and assessment. Activities in our Zoo rooms and local industry help ensure the theory knowledge is supported by practical skills. Each student will spend at least 240 hours in approved work placement.
