In order to be considered for entry, the applicant must have completed a degree in veterinary science (BVSc, DVM or equivalent qualification).
The Selection Committee will evaluate the applicant's ability to pursue successfully the course using the following criteria:
- a degree in veterinary science (BVSc, DVM or equivalent qualification) and relevant professional experience OR
- acceptance into the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne and currently undertaking full time studies in good standing.
The Selection Committee may seek further information to clarify any aspect of an application in accordance with the Admission and Selection into Courses Policy.
The Selection Committee may conduct interviews and tests and may call for referee reports or employer references to elucidate any of the matters referred to above.
IELTS (academic English Only) - 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
TOEFL (paper-based test) - 577 and TWE 4.5
TOEFL (internet-based test) - 79 (Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13)
The validity of IELTS, TOEFL and Pearson PTE Academic tests has been temporarily extended from two to three years
The TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition version is temporarily being accepted as equivalent to existing accepted TOEFL tests
