Applicants must have
- B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- A one-year certificate, or a diploma or degree in Agriculture or Horticulture from a recognized post-secondary institution. The Agriculture Technology department will also consider applicants if they can demonstrate that they have a reasonable chance for success. Applicants will be required to submit a portfolio and/or be interviewed.
English Language Requirement:
- IELTS (Academic) - score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum band score of 6.0
- TOEFL - score of 88 or higher (iBT) with no section below 20
- CAEL - score of 70
- PTE - score of 61 with 60 in writing
- MELAB - score of 85
- DET (Duolingo English Test) - 110

The Current Agricultural Practices Essentials certificate is an 18-credit, 6-course, post-credential certificate that helps meet the professional development needs of agriculturists who have either been away from agriculture for a while or who are recent Canadians with prior agriculture experience.
