Combine agriculture with working with people. Shape the next generation's understanding of agriculture and its role in society, or use communication and human relations skills to obtain leadership roles in many agricultural industries. Agricultural Education graduates are the teachers, leaders, and communicators for the agricultural industry. Our students combine their passion for agriculture and their talents in working with people to lead, mentor, and teach the next generation of agriculturalists. The Agricultural Communications and Leadership emphasis is a highly customizable degree program. Students develop leadership skills, communication skills, and technical agriculture skills in a chosen area of expertise. <br><br>Students in Agricultural Communications and Leadership work in partnership with industry, government, and extension leaders to develop skills through authentic, hands-on learning experiences. In addition to agricultural education and leadership course requirements, students complete coursework in agribusiness management, agricultural sales and marketing, plant sciences, animal sciences, agricultural systems management, natural resources, and food science. All students complete at least one internship with an agricultural business, public or private agency or commodity organization.
