课程简介
The Bachelor of Knowledge Integration (BKI) is a flexible and challenging transdisciplinary program for creative and diversely talented students. The Knowledge Integration program offers students the opportunity to explore interests on both sides of the traditional arts and science divide, building their program around a core of skills that will equip them to understand and solve complex problems, communicate effectively, and be able to make a difference in and adapt to a changing and complex world. If your passions dont fit neatly into a traditional university program, consider Knowledge Integration (KI). More than just a mix of arts and science, KI is built around a core set of skills that equip you to understand and solve complex problems, communicate effectively, and make a difference in a complex and changing world. No KI degree is the same. Build your program around your interests, studying topics from technology and software to life and health sciences, environmental issues, and policy making. If youre a high-achieving student and want the freedom to integrate a broad range of interests, this is your program. What you do with your degree is up to you. Our grads have gone on to careers in everything from design to business systems analysis to speech language pathology. Many also continue their education with graduate studies, medical school, law school, and more.

The Science, Technology, and Society (STS) Specialization is designed to cover a broad range of issues, including the nature and organization of knowledge and expertise, science policy, and public understanding of science. It is intended for Knowledge Integration students who want to be exposed to a variety of disciplinary perspectives related to the social, ethical, and political dimensions of science and technology, beyond their core KI courses. The STS specialization consists of 3.0 units: 1.5 units from the INTEG core, 0.5 unit STS themed INTEG elective, and 1.5 units from across campus.
