UTSA's Global Affairs degree will allow you to develop analytical skills to understand different regions of the world and the interactions that take place between people, states, international organizations and private entities. Your classes will give you the opportunity to learn about transnational crime, terrorism, trafficking, pandemics, global development, human rights and environmental issues such as global warming. This program aims to provide skills for a variety of careers in government jobs in international affairs or international law, international business, and military and intelligence.<br>UTSA is all about your success. Receive tutoring, find internships, connect with industry professionals for job opportunities, and enhance your professional development skills through the center's comprehensive programming.<br>As part of the College of Liberal and Fine Arts Signature Experience, which seeks to offer students opportunities to apply ideas and knowledge in real-world settings, the Department encourages students to enroll in mentorship courses such as an Internship, Independent Study, Study Abroad, and Research Practicum. Majors may apply 3 or 6 semester credit hours of internship study to their baccalaureate program. Internships entail supervised workplace experience, allowing the integration of academic and practitioner learning. The internship coordinator of the Department of Political Science and Geography oversees placement. Department faculty members provide supervision and grade internship performance.
